22 Jul It’ s Query Time

Just a quick update: It’s 1:31 as I type this. My sweet baby boy is fast asleep, and I’m sitting on my computer attempting to write a query letter and synopsis of my novel. I use the word attempting because I’m not doing a very good job of it. How is this so hard? I mean, a 500+ page novel…no problemo. A cohesive beginning, middle and end…got it. But a short two paragraph blurb about my story….nuclear. freaking. meltdown. And why shouldn’t it be? How is anyone supposed to condense 106K words into two measly paragraphs? Like, seriously?

Hmm. I wonder if there’s an app for that…
